A free spooler program to automatically exchange and process files
between computers over a network.
With xSpool, you can use vpxPrint to build and preview WINDOWS reports,
even if your main application is character-based on a UNIX host !
This is the link between characters environments
and WINDOWS graphical systems !

xSpool is able to call any program on a WINDOWS system to open with the received file. You can use it as a generalized interface (WORD, EXCEL etc.). xSpool accepts any type of file and selects the registered program to open it.
* The version 2.1 minimizes xSpool in the system tray.
* The version 2.2 allows to run *.bat files and has an unzip engine to decompress files before processing.

 From Olivier Dunemann : One decisive key figure of high response time is the correct use of indexes. The Progress' algorithm that decides which indexes are used and bracketed is relatively unknown by many developers. The way to check indexes usage isn't so easy either (compile program with the XREF keyword, check all SEARCH entries and compare index' structure with the fields used in WHERE clause).
The purpose of this tool is to ease this check by showing in one single screen the FIND or FOR statements and the structure of the used indexes.

PROGRESS2XLS is a 'Visual basic convertor for Progress CHUI Reports (CHUI -> Excel)' from Diederik de Groot
PROGRESS2XLS is the new name of MFG2XLS. It's a generalised version to include more progress applications besides MFGPro.
PROGRESS2XLS exports any report to Excel without recoding anything from PROGRESS. PROGRESS2XLS automatically converts any PROGRESS report (standard MFGPro, CSV or CVSMixed) into excel and performs any extra tasks upon completion (starting macro's for example). The program is called PROGRESS2XLS.exe and can be downloaded for free. The setup manual can be found on the page. You just need to install the program on every client, create a printer and have a terminal program that supports remote printing and editing (like netterm) Hope you like it.

The project is available via sourceforge via progress2xls.sourceforge.net too. We need some extra developers on this project :-)
