Variables:

See the table and demonstration programs for variable type correspondence.

Max row on pages before the last one

DEF VAR         pageMaxRow              AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2  NO-UNDO      INITIAL 66.

Max row on last page

DEF VAR         lastpageMaxRow          AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2  NO-UNDO.

Page and footer sizes

DEF VAR         footerSize              AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2  NO-UNDO      INITIAL 2.

DEF VAR         pageSize                AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2  NO-UNDO      INITIAL 70.

Title row on first page

DEF VAR         firstRow                AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2   NO-UNDO     INITIAL 1.

Title row on next pages

DEF VAR         firstNext               AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2   NO-UNDO     INITIAL 1.

DEF VAR         titleHeight             AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2   NO-UNDO     INITIAL 2.

DEF VAR         rowHeight               AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2   NO-UNDO.

DEF VAR         finalHeight             AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2   NO-UNDO.

DEF VAR         nextHeight              AS DECIMAL DECIMALS 2   NO-UNDO     INITIAL 2.

MANDATORY Column list:

DEF VAR         columnList              AS CHAR                 NO-UNDO     INITIAL "10,30,40".   /* Default 2 columns + the right border */

•The column list specifies the X positions of all vertical lines, including the last line on the right.

•If the array has 5 columns, 6 values must be specified, the 6th is the right border:

                       "10,20,55,70"           Absolute values or bookmarks

                       "#A,#B,56.8,70"

        In reportRow() or reportTitle():

oThe template generates vpxPrint frames <FRAME#n> (#1, #2, #3, #4...) for each column, that keeps track of the row height and the left, right and top margins of each row.

oCoding of reportRow():

                                    PUT STREAM O UNFORMATTED

"<USE#1>"

"<USE#2><RIGHT>"

"<CENTER=#2>" ...

item.item-num

item.cat-desc

// First column

Values can be retrieved to draw a background for example:

PUT STREAM O CONTROL

"<BGCOLOR=ltGray><FILLRECT@FRAME#0>"

"<=1>"                        "Line number"

      "<USE#2><center>" "Description" "</USE>"

      "<=3>"                        "Last line".

Automatic drawing of lines

                  drawLines -> Let the template draw the lines and the box:

If drawLines:

The array is drawn from:

                                 startRow    -> #START or #FIRST or ... (Default value #START. #FIRST does not include the title in the drawing)

to:

                  endRow      -> #END   or #LAST  or ... (Default value #END. #LAST stops the drawing after the last line)

The box is drawn with:

                  frametype   -> RECT, RECT), etc...     (Default value "RECT". The tag to use to draw the borders)

DEF VAR         drawLines               AS LOGICAL              NO-UNDO INITIAL TRUE.

DEF VAR         startRow                AS CHAR                 NO-UNDO INITIAL "#START".

DEF VAR         endRow                  AS CHAR                 NO-UNDO INITIAL "#END".

DEF VAR         frameType               AS CHAR                 NO-UNDO INITIAL "RECT".

Internal margins of the detail cells

DEF VAR         leftMargin              AS CHAR                 NO-UNDO INITIAL "<C+0.5>".

DEF VAR         rightMargin             AS CHAR                 NO-UNDO INITIAL "<C-0.5>".

DEF VAR         topMargin               AS CHAR                 NO-UNDO INITIAL "<R+0.5>".
